link "how to"

link "how to"

Lily Designs just became easier to use! Now you don't need to put your username into the navigation, it'll work just the way it is.

The only exception to that is some special links that say "extras" or "rings". With links like those you have to have a page that matches the url or you'll get the diaryland error page when you click it. For example, if you take a layout that has Extras as a link the url to it is http://username.diaryland.com/extras.html

When you add an entry there's an option that says this: "name of this html page (if you're not sure what this is, just leave it blank)"

In that spot you need to type extras and then that link will go to that entry you added.

Another example: I named this page you are currently reading navigation. So I typed "navigation" in the spot where it says "name of this html page" and I put http://lilydesigns.diaryland.com/navigation.html in the code for the link.

I hope that makes sense. If you have any more questions concerning this let us know!
